The Akron Civic Theater, built in 1929, is one of only sixteen remaining atmospheric theaters designed by John Eberson in the United States. It is also the last remaining theater build by Marcus Leow, founder of the Leow's theater chain. It seats 5,000 people and is known as "The Jewel on Main Street".
